I launched my YouTube channel Lively Coastin' in 2014 at the beginning of my college career to merge my passion for music with my developing video editing skills. My interest in music and video editing began during high school, where I created lyric videos using iMovie as a way to practice and refine my editing techniques. Building on an earlier experimental channel, Lively Coastin' allowed me to focus on producing high-quality lyric videos for emerging artists, particularly the pop-rap duo Jack & Jack. Recognizing the challenges of working with content subject to removal by major artists, I committed to consistently supporting Jack & Jack, whose success included their 2014 single “Wild Life,” which peaked at number 87 on the US Billboard Hot 100. My lyric videos garnered significant attention, resulting in millions of views and promotion through Jack & Jack’s official YouTube channel. Over time, the channel achieved over 14 million total views and peaked at 50,000 subscribers. This experience not only enhanced my technical skills in video editing but also provided valuable insights into YouTube channel management, audience engagement, and digital content promotion. Creating lyric videos for a high-profile artist under a major label like Island Records was instrumental in developing my professional expertise, blending creative passion with strategic content management.
